This can be a home-based position; however, candidates must reside within a 2-hour commuting distance of Columbus, Ohio, or Charleston, WV for occasional in-person collaboration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design and implement cloud security architectures and solutions.
• Monitor and analyze cloud security systems to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures for cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Work with application development teams to provide cloud security as a service, with a shift left mentality.
• Collaborate with application development teams to deliver cloud security as a service, emphasizing a shift-left approach.
• Provide guidance and support for incident response and recovery efforts.
• Leverage automation technologies to enhance security measures, streamline threat detection, and improve incident response efficiency.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud security trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years with cloud security experience.
• Proven experience in cloud security engineering, with a focus on AWS and Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and industry standards.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as NGFW, XDR, WAF, CNAPP, DSPM, and CSPM.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, and Azure Security Engineer Associate are a plus.
