Global's Gasoline Distribution and Store Operations (GDSO) business continues to grow organically and by acquisition. We are looking to add a Business Intelligence Specialist to our existing Strategy and Controls Team. The Business Intelligence Specialist will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Controls. You will also receive assignments from and work closely with our Facilities, Mergers and Acquisitions and Operations personnel. The position may receive alternative leadership assignments once onboard and fully up to speed. MS BI, Tableau, R etc.) with capacity to create data source connections; visualizations; dashboards; key performance indicators; complex aggregations across data sources; and analytical commentary on the work product. An understanding of Income Statements and Balance Sheets as key elements of M&A diligence and economic modeling Comfortable with creating, refining and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that are in existence or will be developed to measure new business opportunities The role must maintain strict diligence toward accuracy of data and items reported on. Qualifications:
Have a deep understanding of the interconnectivity of the data sources at Global as they relate to the various elements of the GDSO business segment (Expenses; fuel metrics; financial statements; M&A diligence materials;; CapEx; R&M; etc.) Collaboration on setting the strategy for what we measure and how we ensure that those measurements and reporting are accurate. Identify and build calculations and cross references necessary for creating and presenting the most impactful KPI's Organizing, streamline and automate the delivery of data Create BI visualizations and dashboards that are pressure tested for accuracy Provide BI dashboards that allow Operations and other teams to filter and select the data sets that are most relevant to them Use cash flow, NPV, IRR, ROI, statistical and quantitative analysis of data as well as explanatory and predictive modeling Develop, evaluate, and refine analytic models using data to address business needs Identify the highest value business problems and questions which, when answered, will yield significant value (cost savings, increased customer satisfaction, process efficiency, optimization of resources etc.) Identify sources of data needed for key business problems and their locations, structure, accessibility and readiness for aggregation. Drive strategic decisions by advocating for change that is based on data driven insights Create an approach to effectively prioritize projects that provide the most value and are aligned with corporate goals Develop business goals that further analytical capabilities for process efficiency and customer engagement Extensive knowledge and working experience with BI and preferably Tableau is critical for this position. Prior experience working with Business Intelligence platforms. Prioritization will be granted to candidates with any prior experience in the Retail sector with a preference for Retail in the Oil, Gas or Convenience Store industry and general knowledge of commodity trading concepts preferred. Knowledge of statistical analysis, presentation, software and documentation tools and methods. Excellent analytical skills and real-time problem-solving ability. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in manipulating large data sets. Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting/economics Preferred
