MultiCare Behavioral Health Network is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our inpatient psychiatry team in Yakima, WA. This is a full-time, weekday role offering a stable daytime schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive hospital setting.

Position Details:
  • Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adults (18+)

  • Average daily census: ~9 patients

  • Coordinate care with the attending psychiatrist and interdisciplinary treatment team

  • Support patients with complex behavioral health and medical comorbidities

  • Participate in daily rounds and care planning

  • Unit located within a 26-bed adult inpatient psychiatric facility at Yakima Memorial Hospital. Eventual goal of 30 beds

  • Collaborate with Medical Director Dr. Katie Isbell and a stable inpatient team

  • Assist in addressing placement challenges and discharge planning

Additional Qualifications:
  • Inpatient psychiatric experience strongly preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and diagnostic skills

  • Comfort managing patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions

Requirements

  • BC at the time of employment

  • Licensed in the state of Washington by employment

  • DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority

  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

  • Minimum of 1-3 years clinical experience with direct patient care with adolescents

  • Psychiatry ARNP with child & adolescent experience

  • Board certification in area of licensure

  • 1-3 years of experience working with the adolescent population

  • Well versed in EPIC EMR

  • Inpatient psychiatric prescribing experience
