Be part of our movement, let's pursue excellence together. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Communications Associate to join our growing team in the innovative biotech space. This role is critical in supporting both internal and external communications initiatives that enhance the company's brand, support product communications, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare communications, scientific literacy, and the ability to tailor complex information to diverse audiences including media, healthcare professionals, patients, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Working closely with our communications team, this role will be instrumental in building and enhancing our communications strategies to keep the company engaged and informed as we grow. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues at all levels and work across functions.
- Support the development and execution of integrated communications strategies for product launches, corporate initiatives, and disease awareness campaigns
- Draft, edit, and proofread a wide range of content including press releases, media materials, Q&As, fact sheets, internal newsletters, web content, social media posts, and presentations
- Coordinate media monitoring, prepare news briefs, and support issues management
- Assist in organizing product communications initiatives, internal town halls, industry conferences, and patient advocacy initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, legal, medical affairs, marketing, and HR teams to ensure communications are accurate, aligned, and compliant with industry standards
- Maintain and update content calendars, media lists, and key performance reports
- Monitor trends and best practices in pharmaceutical communications, healthcare media, and digital engagement
- Research various stats that can be used in media pitches and social content creation
- Manage internal company "intranet" that houses all-company stories, as well as the Communications Team page updated with all the most up to date assets and information
- Help lead the creation of quarterly newsletters and digital download series
- Social media monitoring (community management) and trending topic research
- Support team administratively through Veeva and Ariba systems
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Interaction: The incumbent works closely with internal teams including regulatory, legal, medical affairs, marketing, and human resources as well as with outside vendors as necessary.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; communications, public relations, and/or journalism background/concentration preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare agency, or related regulated industry.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and digital communication tools.
- Strong relationship building skills
- Passion for employee experience and company culture
- Organized, self-motivated, proactive and can drive projects forward through completion
- Must be able to work - and thrive - in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness
- Experience working within FDA-regulated communication environments preferred
- Familiarity with Veeva, Meltwater, Cision, or other media monitoring tools preferred
Travel Requirements:
- Travel may be required for up to 10% of the time

Pay Transparency
The base pay range for this role is $32/hr to $45/hr. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. This role is classified as non-exempt and eligible for over-time. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
