Central Control Operator

SALARY:$44.17/hour

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your operational expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside knowledgeable and supportive teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring reliable and efficient operations of the Automated People Mover, contributing to seamless customer service and safety. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as maintenance, operations, and customer service), monitor and respond to system alerts, and implement contingency plans when necessary.

You'll specifically take care of central control operations and train dispatching, but also support maintenance activities and emergency response coordination.

We'll look to you for:



  • Managing central control operations, including dispatch terminals and communication systems.
  • Interacting with the Automatic Train Control (ATC) system to ensure proper train configurations for customer service.
  • Monitoring and operating power distribution systems for regular, maintenance, and emergency activities.
  • Implementing contingency plans during service disruptions to minimize customer impact.
  • Monitoring customer activity, station platforms, and system alarms through CCTV and communication systems.
  • Participating in safety awareness programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (an Associate degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Proficiency in English and effective communication skills (additional languages are a plus).
  • Valid Class C Driver's License.
  • Practical computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and multitasking with multiple screens.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capacity.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
