Supervisor, Inside Sales

In collaborating with the sales leadership and Global/Regional marketing the Supervisor, Inside Sales (SIS) will influence the definition of the strategy, define processes and motivate the team to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. The SIS will lead and help the team by providing direction, removing roadblocks and will report on weekly/monthly basis on key performance indicators (KPI). Key focus will be on instrument leads nurturing, reagents quoting and sales and by selling small instrument directly into non-traditional market. From time to time the team will also pilot initiatives to determine how the market respond and will report on customer feedback. The SIS will interact customers by email, phone and live webchat and report into to the Commercial Operations.

People supervision:

  • Lead and direct a team of few individuals by establishing clear goals and objectives and reviewing progress on a quarterly basis.
  • Act as functional expert and work with other stakeholders to remove roadblocks for the team.
  • Report on key performance indicators

Selling:

  • Sell products or services to either consumers or other businesses.
  • Locate new sales opportunities through tactics like cold-calling, attending trade shows and building mailing lists.
  • Negotiate sales terms and provide product demonstrations over the phone.
  • Seek new clients, understand customer needs and make effective sales pitches.
  • Interact with potential and existing customers through emails, telephone calls, and live website chats to persuade them to purchase companies' products and services.
  • Work from a designated list to contact customers and educate them about product offerings.
  • Find solutions to customer problems, issue refunds or process complaints and follow up with customers to guarantee their satisfaction.

Leads Management

  • Manage all incoming leads within 48 hours to qualify the customer needs and or to move leads into contact database.
  • Move leads into the desired journey until customer is ready to discuss in more details with the the local sales team.
  • Collaborate with regional downstream marketing team to execute lead generation programs and develop customer journey with platform leadership.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service / inside sales capacity ideally in the field of Flow Cytometry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a people leader (supervisor or manager)
  • Excellent understanding of organizational processes associated with consumables and capital equipment business within the Life Science / Clinical Diagnostic market.
  • Computer proficiency is required. Previous experience with Saleforce.com and NetSuite is highly preferred.
  • Professional level proficiency in English is a must. Additional European languages highly preferred, especially German.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and strategically to achieve individual and corporate goals
