Job Description
The Center for Behavioral Health (CBH), located at 12837 Flushing Meadows Dr. Ste 220, Town & Country, MO 63131, seeks an enthusiastic, client-focused psychologist to join our team. CBH is dedicated to providing high-quality, timely, and affordable psychological services to children and adolescents, especially those who would not otherwise have access to professional mental health care. Our work supports individuals and families across St. Louis County, St. Louis City, St. Charles County, and Jefferson County through provision of no-cost evaluation programs designed to address a wide range of behavioral and emotional concerns. To learn more about our services and community partnerships, visit www.umsl.edu/cbh/index.html In the role of Senior Psychologist, clinicians are responsible for the following key duties:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and demonstrate advanced autonomy and clinical skill in diagnosing and formulating treatment recommendations.
- Write high-quality, thorough psychological evaluation reports and communicate findings to families, referral sources, and community partners.
- Tackle complex clinical problems with a fresh, analytical approach and innovative solutions.
- Exercise sound judgment based on multifaceted information sources, identifying gaps and offering targeted recommendations.
- Clearly and compassionately explain sensitive or difficult information while working to build shared understanding and consensus.
- Collaborate consistently with colleagues both within and outside the clinical team.
- Take the lead on high-visibility projects and assignments of varying complexity and scope.
- Apply clinical experience and judgment in ways that improve patient outcomes and contribute to the broader mission of the University.
- Pursue and engage in leadership roles within the clinic and broader agency operations.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to graduate students, trainees, and school psychologists working within the clinic.
- Meet or exceed established monthly productivity expectations on a consistent basis.
Shift
Monday-Friday-8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
A Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology or Clinical Psychology and 2 years of experience in counseling. Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of post-doctoral clinical experience preferred, with prior experience in a supervisory or training role strongly desired.
- Experience working with various populations and a commitment to culturally responsive clinical practice.
- Prior involvement in a university-based training clinic, academic medical center, or similar setting.
- Familiarity with public school systems, IEP processes, and educational advocacy is a plus.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports that integrate complex clinical data in a meaningful and accessible way.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including experience managing or mentoring clinical staff or students.
- Interest in or experience with program development, quality improvement initiatives, or community-based partnerships.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $98,000-110,000 Grade: GGS-012 University Title: Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
