Major Accountabilities

  • Support the leadership team in embedding a culture of ethics, risk & compliance across Sandoz.
  • Support Sandoz Leaders, Operational Managers and Associates to do what's right by conducting business ethically and in full alignment with the values of the organization.
  • Support Sandoz Leaders in creating an environment where all associates feel safe to speak up and feel protected from retaliation.
  • Establish appropriate risk management, internal controls and monitoring to prevent, detect and respond to unlawful and unethical behavior.
  • Support the business to identify, categorize and manage their key risks.
  • Support the business and functions to ensure we are operating in compliance with local laws & regulations, and internal policies & guidelines.
  • Empower the ethical decision-making framework, which will serve as a trigger for associates and teams to be aware of their potential biases and enhance the quality of their decision-making.
  • Implement, maintain and monitor Sandoz compliance framework. The local compliance program ensures the continuous promotion of ethical business conduct for all business sectors, following the company's compliance standards as well as local codes and regulations.
  • Establish value based compliance standards based on internal policies and guidelines / implementing procedures (P3 policies , CoE, Speak-up, Anti-Bribery (AB), Conflict of Interest ) and on applicable local laws and regulations incl. ME pharma industry code, where applicable.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of Healthcare compliance and act as a trusted advisor and business partner for local colleagues in all functions. You provide guidance at for all compliance related matters including leadership team.
  • Design and conduct educational and training programs to create and increase awareness about our compliance standards and to prevent and mitigate possible compliance risks for our business sectors.
  • Develop local compliance processes and SOPs for relevant policies.
  • Continually provide advice and guidance to the business on compliance topics and challenges.
  • Advise country management on legal and compliance related topics and compliance aspects of major initiatives.
  • Actively participate in legal and Compliance Meetings and share best practices.
  • Support Sandoz Legal & Compliance Head in the identification and realization of cross-divisional synergies.
  • Knowledge about the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) aspect. Inform country leadership and Sandoz Compliance Head on identified compliance risks. Align compliance risk mitigation plan with management.
  • Follow up on the implementation and results of the monitoring activities of the top Country Compliance Risks.
  • Conduct P3/core self-assessments spot checks.
  • Ensure allegations of misconduct are reported in a timely manner to the speak up office.
  • Manage investigations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulatory protocols and supporting SpeakUp case investigations.
  • Conduct field monitoring to events and standard events and report results to management.
  • Provide legal support for all E-CORE/P3 related contracts and act as legal business partners to relevant departments in the initiation of new marketing and promotional concepts.
  • Support compliance monitoring and ensure that all legal contracts comply with Sandoz's ethical and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • Bachelor's degree in law
  • Solid, hands-on experience in Compliance is essential
  • 7+ years of progressive experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role - preferably within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit is preferred (e.g., CCEP, CRMA, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience across a broad spectrum of compliance areas, including audit readiness, risk management, investigations, and corporate governance
  • Proven legal expertise, including contract drafting, negotiation, regulatory advisory, and risk analysis
  • Strong analytical, advisory, and communication skills - able to guide cross-functional teams on complex legal and compliance matters and provide actionable, business-oriented solutions
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to drive a culture of compliance by promoting standards and codes across the organization
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
