The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Conference and Events Specialist to our growing Enterprise Client Strategy division in Seattle, WA.

The Marketplace Presence & Conference Program has grown in scale and complexity, creating a need for dedicated operational support. This role represents an exciting expansion of our team, driven by the growing demand for strategic conference planning. It will add vital coordination and administrative capacity to support innovation, enhance planning tools and scale our programs. Your time will be split between the conference and event program business operations and the Enterprise Client Strategy business operations. This position will help elevate the program's consistency, visibility, and enterprise-wide impact.

This role internally will be titled Business Operations Specialist.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide support to the Senior Conference & Events Planner by taking on administrative and operational tasks.

  • Support business units in adopting and following through on the enterprise-wide conference reporting process by managing attendee follow-up, running reports, and maintaining Salesforce data accuracy.

  • Own the day-to-day execution of smaller industry organization events (e.g., NAIOP, PSBJ), including managing registration codes, filling seats, and coordinating with event organizers.

  • Maintain and update internal documentation, planning tools, and SOPs to support consistent and efficient event execution across the Enterprise Client Strategy team.

  • Facilitate outreach to business units to confirm event participation, gather feedback, and ensure timely updates to shared tracking systems.

  • Assist with meeting coordination, scheduling, and internal communications to support cross-functional alignment and planning.

  • Support general business operations for the ECS team, including document management, internal coordination, and special project support as needed.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and build strong relationships.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Genuine passion for helping others and providing outstanding support
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Experienced with Salesforce or another CRM for managing customer interactions and data
  • Experienced with Power BI or similar data tools

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $36.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
