Stanley Consultants is seeking a Structural Department Manager for our Denver, CO office.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Structures Department leadership managing operations of current and potential future members.
  • Structures Department leadership managing tasks and/or projects under contractually prescribed scopes of work, milestone schedules, and allocated budgets.
  • Assist in development of marketing strategies, written proposals, and innovative concepts for new business pursuits.
  • Lead by example, mentors by experience
  • Represent Structures Department in coordinating with company Structures Group operations (several offices) and company Transportation Market operations (several offices).
  • Professional Client interaction
  • Lead the analysis/design, review, and quality control effort on various structural assignments
  • Develop reports, specifications, drawings, and related documents to meet client requirements
  • Familiarity with all phases of Project Development from planning & studies, through final design, and into construction and operation.
  • Equal navigational skills - steadfast in course direction and flexible in unexpected changes in direction.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or greater in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Masters Preferred, PhD a Plus)
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one state, with the ability to obtain a PE license in Colorado. Colorado Professional Structural Engineer license preferred. Ability to obtain other state PE licenses a plus.
  • Experience with CDOT or Denver area Cities and Counties. Experience with ADOT, UDOT or TxDOT a plus.
  • Minimum of 10+ years' structural/bridge engineering design experience.
  • Strong all-around theoretical knowledge of structural engineering principles.
  • Experience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structures. Steel plate / box / truss, straight / curved experience a plus.
  • Design experience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes and standards. Knowledge of CDOT standards and procedures a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in OpenBridge, MathCAD, STAAD Pro, LPILE, LEAP Bridge software, MDX, Bentley/MicroStation products, Midas, LARSA 4D, or other equivalent engineering standard bridge software.
  • Proficiency in seismic and non-linear analysis as well as soil structure interaction analysis and post-tensioned concrete.



Base Compensation: $136,100 - $181,025

The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices. In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are disclosed for positions and locations where required.

Stanley's Approach to Flexibility

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
