Elm Street, Suite 101 Denton, TX 76201 m1services.com Job Summary: M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic II - Engine Test Cell who performs all aspects of testing uninstalled and installed F100-PW-220, F100-PW-229 and F100-PW-F119 engines. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Will troubleshoot, maintain, service, inspect, remove, and install engine components and related support equipment. * Will be required to assist in JEIM section as required. * Reads and interprets manufacturers and engine maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. * Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required. * Must have working knowledge of engine support equipment such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators and micrometers. * Receives technical guidance from managers, supervisors, leads or higher-level technicians as required. * May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by management. * Will assist aircraft maintenance units with installed/courtesy engine runs and troubleshooting. * Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. * May be required to monitor and lead teams to perform more complex aircraft inspections and repairs. * May be required to write/initiate engineering technical assistance requests. * Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable * Minimum of 6 years of test cell experience operating F100-PW-220, F100-PW-229 or F100-PW-F119 engines and maintaining T20B/C test cabs and T10 Hush Houses. * Must have been previously certified on Hush House fire control panel and uninstalled engine run certified on at least one of the above stated engines. * Must have been previously qualified to perform ground member for installed aircraft engines runs. Working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to technical data is required. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating instructions in the same language. * Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements. Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash. * Performs any other supportive duties as assigned. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required). * Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test. * May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract. Working Conditions: * Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties. * Must be able to pass a color vision test. * Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
