POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Material Control Supervisor supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Material Control Supervisor oversees the daily operations of material handling, inventory management, and logistics within a warehouse or distribution center.They lead a team, manage inventory accuracy, ensure efficient material flow, and maintain safety standards. This position involves leading a team, implementing best practices, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize material management and distribution processes.



  • Supervises, mentors, and motivates a team of material handlers, ensuring they meet performance goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Oversees inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Manages the movement of materials, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping, while ensuring compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve material flow, optimize storage space, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Works with other departments (e.g., procurement, purchasing) to ensure the timely delivery of materials and address any issues related to material supply.
  • Maintains accurate records of material movements and generates reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and other relevant metrics.
  • Ensures that all material handling activities adhere to safety regulations and company safety policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years in Warehouse/Supply chain experience and a minimum of 1 year of Lead and/or Supervisory experience within a Warehouse/Supply chain environment
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team, preferably in a material control or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with various material handling equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant computer systems.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Air Force materials management policies and procedures.
