Direct and manage the Engineering department for a 1300-acre four-season resort complex. Ensure that all buildings, equipment and infrastructure remains in good repair with a minimum of down time by managing and assisting with the day-to-day repair and maintenance and preventative maintenance of all structures within the resort excluding Timber Ridge Lodge. Continually work towards and supports the improvement of engineering services with increased communications with all guests and resort managers. Directs and inspects the Engineers, Painters, Carpenter, and Engineering Admin on a daily basis to ensure their work productivity and quality meets standards and deadlines. Completes weekly work schedule for department. Processes daily payroll edits/reports in a timely manner. Counsels and disciplines associates as needed. Conducts performance appraisals for associates to include skills testing of Engineers. Ensure compliance in regards to safety and OHSA standards Manage and directs a Waste Water Treatment Plant operation including all licenses and permits. Creating and directing a measurable PM program for all guest rooms, public space, event space, kitchen equipment, HVAC, pool vessels, ice machines, emergency generators and buildings infrastructure. Responsible for coordination and roll-out of projects as directed. Interacts as needed with guests, contractors, vendors, peers, and corporate executives. Assists department staff with all of their tasks as needed to include trouble shooting, regular maintenance, and repairs. Conducts regular inspections via walk-throughs of public areas, back of the house areas, guest rooms and exterior areas. Ensure all engineers are properly trained and utilize the work ticket management program (Hot SoS) Create budget to include Capital Expenditure items. Assumes responsibility to ensure departmental spending and payroll remains within budgeted and forecasted guidelines. Responsible for communication with other managers in regards to project and tasks updates Assist when needed with Timber Ridge hotel engineering. (In consulting capacity only) |
