Job Summary |
The College of Architecture, Design and Construction is hiring a
TES Student Recruiting Coordinator. This role coordinates aspects of the recruitment of students for a college or school including but not limited to planning and managing information sessions and tours for prospective students, scheduling prospective student individual meetings, and representing the college or school at university wide recruitment events.
Temporary Employment Services (
TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university.
TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
- Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
- Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
- Assistance with special projects
- Seasonal work
- Emergencies

Essential Functions |
- Coordinate and manage all college, school and program tours, meet with prospective students and their families and manage daily information sessions. Promote and represent the college/school by answering any questions prospects may have during information sessions and tours.
- Provide prospective students and families with information about degree programs, career options, and extracurricular activities offered in the college via phone, email, zoom and in person interactions.
- Attends all university wide recruitment events as a liaison for the college/school.
- Follow up with prospective students after in person and virtual interactions, coordinating additional meetings if necessary.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required - no specific discipline
- 1 year of experience in in public relations, marketing, recruiting, advising, counseling, and/or event planning.
Substitutions allowed for Education:
Indicated education is required; no substitutions allowed.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
Indicated experience is required; no substitutions allowed.
Minimum Required Knowledge
Knowledge of university, recruitment techniques, educational institutions, public relations, marketing, organization methods, management of records, common computer applications/software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or scheduling and event planning.
Certification or Licensure Requirements
Valid Driver's License required. |
