Job Summary
Auburn University Athletics is recruiting for a Giving Officer to join our Tigers Unlimited team! The Tigers Unlimited Foundation is committed to advancing Auburn Athletics to be the best school for the best athletes in the nation. As a key member of our team, the Tigers Unlimited Giving Officer will play a vital role in advancing this mission by identifying and qualifying prospective donors capable of making major gifts of $25,000 or more. This position is focused on building a strong major gift pipeline through strategic, in-person discovery visits with alumni, fans, and friends of Auburn Athletics. The Giving Officer will assess donor potential and collaborate closely with the Associate AD of Major Gifts to transition qualified prospects to development officers who will guide them toward impactful investments in Auburn Athletics. By aligning donor passions with the priorities of Auburn Athletics and the broader university, the Giving Officer will directly contribute to the long-term success and growth of our programs.
Essential Functions

  • Identify major gifts prospects who can support TUF and Auburn Athletics.
  • Conduct in-person discovery visits to assess donor interests and align them with Auburn Athletics initiatives.
  • Develop and execute individualized giving strategies and portfolio management plans.
  • Maintain consistent and meaningful communication with prospects through scheduled touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with Auburn Advancement and Athletics colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from qualification to cultivation by the development officer.
  • Conducts prospecting activities through various means such as phone calls, emails, and texts as well as participate in regional and local events to identify and engage potential donors.
  • Analyze donor data and interactions to refine outreach strategies and improve fundraising outcomes.
  • Ensure all activities comply with SEC, NCAA, and TUF policies and guidelines.
  • Travel frequently and work non-traditional hours as needed to meet with donors and attend events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience in gift solicitation, development, fundraising, marketing, sales, and/or public relations.
