We are seeking a Software Systems Architect to support the integration of multiple digital tools and systems into a cohesive, modern digital ecosystem with a strong focus on enabling digital transformation. This role will provide expert engineering and/or scientific solutions for highly complex technical software applications. You will provide systems architecture design services on all aspects of networks, software architectures, software interfaces, and data flow architectures for complex software applications. This role is critical in modernizing of our customer's software ecosystem by designing scalable architectures, integrating software/ tools, and ensuring seamless interoperability across the organization and its mission. The architect will provide system-level design leadership and help drive the adoption of agile, data-centric, and modular software solutions in support of modernization priorities. Daily Task will include:

• Participate in IPT and Committee meetings to develop requirements and solution sets.

• Provide project management support to the IPT Lead that include cost, schedule and performance metrics

• Lead technical team with overall software architecture concepts that includes software development, integration, testing, and release environment and present to the IPT and Steering Committee for execution.

• Define and maintain interface standards, data models, and integration strategies to enable interoperability and reuse across software-intensive efforts.

• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, cyber personnel to transition innovative technologies into integrated, operationally relevant systems.

• Apply engineering best practices and tools to document architecture and support decision-making (APIs, web services, ETL processes)

• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, accreditation, and Army data governance standards during software design and integration.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Hands-on experience with agile software development practices and modern toolchains (e.g., Git, GitLab, Azure Devops).

Required

• ABET accredited BS degree

• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, systems integration, or systems engineering.

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to bridge technical and programmatic communities.

• Some travel

• Must have an in-scope DoD Secret security clearance

Desired

• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.).

• Understanding of data management principles and data integration techniques.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

• Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
