Job Purpose:
Strativia is seeking a detail-oriented Computer Support Technician to provide technical support for the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Minnesota (USAO-DMN). Working under the close direction of the IT Systems Manager and Specialist, this position supports the setup, maintenance, security, and optimization of the office's IT systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop, laptop, and networked systems used for voice, data, and video communications.
- Provide customer service support, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues and assisting users with technology-related needs.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data by supporting IT security protocols and practices.
- Maintain and support Microsoft SQL Server, LAN, and web-based applications, including litigation and case management systems.
- Assist with inventory tracking of IT assets and equipment.
- Support the office's intranet and public-facing websites, ensuring content functionality and resolving technical issues.
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of litigation support and case management services, including data handling and system readiness.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT and Litigation Support (IT/LS) concepts, principles, and methods
- Familiarity with eDiscovery technologies, imaging tools, and visual design concepts
- Knowledge of performance measurement, systems testing, and evaluation methodologies
- Understanding of IT/LS security principles and requirement analysis
- Ability to assess and apply internet technologies in support of litigation
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently or under close supervision in a fast-paced legal environment
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a federal or legal environment
- Experience with networked systems, system security, and user support
- Previous experience supporting case management and/or litigation support tools is highly desirable
Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, IT professionals, and external partners
