The H. Laddie Montague Jr. Law Library at Penn State Dickinson Law University Park campus invites applications from Work Study eligible Penn State Dickinson Law students for part-time work study for the 2025/2026 academic year. Law student applicants should have a standing of 2L or 3L during the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

Student Library Assistants provide service at the circulation desk in the University Park Law Library to faculty, students, and public patrons. Ideal candidates are warm and outgoing team members with a strong work ethic and commitment to providing a positive customer service experience.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing library materials

  • Shelving books, collection maintenance

  • Assisting librarians and staff with library website maintenance and updates

  • Assisting librarians and staff with scheduling reference appointments

  • Working on special projects as assigned.

Various shifts and hours available.

The starting hourly rate for this job is $14.00. Federal Work Study job performance is evaluated either annually or through ongoing mentorship. Students who received a Federal Work Study award have the opportunity to obtain a joband perform related duties eitheron campus, orremotely, if possibleand at the discretion of the employer. Students applying for Federal Work Study positions should clarify expectations with their potential employer regarding either on campus/in person or remote work arrangements.
