As a Manager, Health Economics and Outcomes Research supporting Alcon's Market Access function, you will be trusted with supporting the development and execution of HEOR evidence generation strategy and projects, along with effective dissemination activities across product stages and lifecycles. This position is an office based (Fort Worth, TX) or remote opportunity. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders (cross-functional partners and regional market access teams) to ensure alignment of HEOR strategy
  • Contribute to the development of study protocols, analysis plans, study reports, and share of voice, ensuring methodological rigor
  • Initiate and execute health economic analyses, outcomes research, RWE studies, evidence generation (e.g., database analysis), evidence synthesis projects (literature reviews), and market access initiatives to address the needs of patients, healthcare providers, and payers
  • Support development of value communication resources while working closely with market access colleagues to ensure alignment with country specific strategy and needs
  • Present HEOR findings internally and externally, including at conferences, cross-functional workshops/forums, etc.
  • Manage and track the publication strategy for the assigned portfolio of products
  • Effectively collaborate with external vendors to ensure timely availability of HEOR deliverables
  • Apply advanced knowledge of health economics and outcomes research while communicating effectively and solving problems
  • Collaborate with clinical research to add health economics endpoints to clinical trials and establish evidence-based economic claims
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in Med Tech
  • Excel experience
  • Experience working with KOLs, with ability to develop strong positive external relationships
  • Knowledge of Study Designs and HEOR approaches
  • Understanding of international health systems and payor relationships
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and assess its impact
  • Understanding of research methods and publication interpretation
  • Comfort with managing, manipulating, and normalizing large data sets
