DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee all functions of the survey team, focusing on determining elevation, location, and distances within the designated survey area. You will manage the electronic downloading and editing of survey data using the Computer Aided Drafting and Design System (CADD). A strong proficiency in electronic total stations, data collectors, laptops, CADD workstations, GPS, robotic surveying equipment, digital levels, and conventional instruments is essential. Regular checks of all equipment for accuracy and functionality are required to ensure high-quality work. You will prepare daily and weekly plans to optimize task execution, assign equipment, and delegate responsibilities among team members for maximum efficiency. Additionally, you will provide training on the use of surveying equipment, plan interpretation, and survey computations. Monitoring daily activities will be crucial to ensure adherence to all relevant rules, regulations, and safety protocols for the protection of employees, equipment, and the public. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on an adhoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in King of Prussia.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Survey Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments; or
- Two years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments, and an associate's degree in surveying, drafting, design, civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
