DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Correctional Superintendent Assistant (CSA) and the overall correctional facility. Your duties will include providing program coordination and administrative assistance, as well as coordinating inmate grievances. Your responsibilities will also include collecting, recording, assigning, reviewing, and researching inmate grievances. Additionally, you will assist the CSA in maintaining American Correctional Association accreditation, overseeing operations inspections, and providing other administrative support. Your work will be essential to the smooth and efficient functioning of the correctional facility.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
