Overview:
Watlow is hiring an Senior Technician at our new Technology Development Center (TDC) in Hillsboro, Oregon. This center supports both local customers in the Tualatin and Hillsboro area as well as our broader global customer base. As a Senior Technician supporting the development and assembly of high-performance thermal solutions for the semiconductor industry you will work hands-on with electro-mechanical systems to help bring customer-focused designs to life in a fast-paced and innovative environment.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to build prototype and production systems
  • Assemble and troubleshoot electromechanical products using hand tools, test equipment, and technical drawings
  • Collaborate with engineers to fabricate and test thermal devices used in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Support the creation of BOMs and documentation for new and modified designs
  • Assist in setup and execution of tests and experiments for validation and performance assessment
  • Convert design concepts into working assemblies with high precision and attention to detail
  • Support continuous improvement of processes and tooling used in system builds



Qualifications:



  • Associate degree in a technical discipline OR 3-5 years of relevant experience in electromechanical assembly or testing
  • Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and electrical wiring
  • Familiarity with thermal systems, sensors, or controls is a plus
  • Able to work independently or in a team, with a strong focus on quality and safety



Additional details:


Travel to our Mexico facility and our Austin Facility will be needed 25-50% of the first couple of months for training.
