Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for an Director of Change Communication to join our growing team.

This is a hybrid role that will work onsite at our Tyson's VA office.

Job Summary:

Acentra Health is embarking on a significant 24-month transformation initiative aimed at accelerating better health outcomes through innovation, operational excellence, and cultural evolution. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Change Communications to lead the development and execution of an integrated communication strategy that ensures our employees, partners, and stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the transformation journey. This role requires a hands-on leader with a proven track record in developing change communication strategies, timelines, and compelling multi-channel content. The ideal candidate will possess excellent storytelling skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to partner closely with executive leadership, the Transformation Office, HR, and program leads to drive alignment and clarity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive change communication strategy and roadmap in alignment with the company's 24-month transformation plan.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VP of Communications and executive stakeholders on best practices for change messaging and organizational alignment.
  • Craft clear, consistent, and compelling messages tailored to various audiences and change milestones.
  • Write, edit, and produce communications for multiple internal channels including email, intranet, leadership toolkits, videos, town halls, FAQs, and more.
  • Determine the right cadence, channels, and formats for delivering transformation-related communications.
  • Coordinate closely with internal communications, digital, and creative teams to execute campaigns that maximize engagement.
  • Collaborate with executives, HR, the transformation office, and business units to ensure alignment of messaging and timing across workstreams.
  • Support leaders and managers with change communication tools and training to cascade information effectively.
  • Define KPIs and leverage feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts.
  • Adjust strategies based on insights, employee sentiment, and business needs.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, with at least 5 years focused on change or transformation communications.
  • Proven experience designing and executing communication strategies for complex organizational changes (e.g., M&A, technology implementations, org redesigns).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills, with experience working across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of internal communications channels and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in health services, government contracting, or regulated industries.
  • Professional certification in change management (PROSCI preferred).
  • Familiarity with employee engagement platforms.
