AWAL is looking for a highly organized, hard working and motivated person to join AWAL's A&R team in an admin capacity.
What you'll do:
- Managing Recording budgets and payments
- Overseeing payment of advances
- Managing the recording process and delivery of assets to AWAL
- dealflow management
- Own and contribute to the improvement of systems and processes
- Artist liaison across the AWAL roster and potential AWAL artists.
- LODs - administration processes
- Travel booking for the senior A&R team
- Meeting bookings and organization for the senior A&R team
- Manage and organize a roster review process
- Liaising with artists/managers and building effective working relationships to establish trust
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with mastering studios and engineers to ensure that the work carried out by these parties is done so in an efficient manner and to the highest standards.
- Dealing with issues that the department face, with regards to mastering and label copy, from both inside and outside the company and seeking to resolve any problems that may arise.
- Booking studios/travel/hotels as requested
- Dealing with general enquiries
- Raising purchase orders
Who you are:
At least 2 years experience within one of the following:
- A&R admin for a record label
- Producer management
- Studio management
- A highly organized individual with proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure and with a high level of attention to detail.
- A quick-learner with drive and curiosity to own processes and improve them
- Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
- Passionate about new music and working with new talent
- Entrepreneurial spirit, forward thinking and a creative and positive attitude
- An artist first approach to the artist / label relationship
- A real hunger to learn and continue to expand and build on your experiences..
- Flexible attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Demonstrable efficient Planning and prioritising skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and draft appropriate correspondence
