Job Description (General Summary)

We are seeking an IT SystemsAdministrator who will maintain, administer, and support our application portfolio across the Laitram companies.This includes foundational functions such as application support and software lifecycle management for our global organization. This position will support various applications such as Infor XA, Solidworks/EPDM, Epicor, Autodesk, Rockwell, and others.
The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive, technical-minded individual, who enjoys troubleshooting and root cause analysis. He or she will work collaboratively with IT and Business teams to maintain the technology solutions which support key functions for our fast-paced Engineering teams.
This position will report to the IT Application Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Business Applications Team.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor our software application portfolio.
  • Document baseline application configurations and troubleshooting steps for IT Support resources
  • Support lifecycle management activities such as application patching and upgrades
  • Contribute to incident root cause analysis
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor our application license utilization
  • Work closely with outside vendors on continued application support and escalation when necessary
  • Create Change Management documentation and ensure that our CMDB is appropriately maintained
  • Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Participate in ITS/DS Projects to ensure complete understanding of new and upgraded systems
  • Assist with managing vendor relationships, support service selection, and contract renewals
  • Global travel opportunities as business needs require
  • Participate in a 24x7 On-Call rotation
  • Act as primary administrator for line of businesses applications such as Rockwell, warehouse scanners, cellular gateways, and Kronos clocks
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate technical field or minimum 4 years proven IT experience
  • Experienceworking with application support
  • Familiarity with Windows PowerShell
  • Self-managed;ability to work wellalone and inaglobalteam environment
  • Ability tomulti-task and prioritize assigned work according to business needsand priorities
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20%, including occasional weekends or holidays.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, use ladders, bend, stoop, and operate hand tools.
Desired Qualifications:
  • MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT management solution for ticket tracking/resolution
