Lottery Sales Representative (District Lottery Representative)

The Pennsylvania Lottery is seeking an experienced, energetic sales professional to serve a specific sales territory within the Allegheny County area. As a Lottery Sales Representative, you will provide product, guidance, and support to existing retailers while actively working with them to increase their sales. You will also use your sales skills to recruit new retailers, educate them on the benefits of joining our retailer network, and provide strategies that will help them succeed. Work in this role involves navigating a web based portal proficiently with PCs and iPads, reading and interpreting sales data, and communicating effectively with business owners and customers to share the value of Lottery products and detailed information about procedures and the products. When necessary while conducting normal business, our team will rely on you to work overtime on a limited basis, lift/carry up to 40 lbs., and work and drive in all types of weather conditions. You will also have the exciting opportunity to interact and engage players and network with other sales representatives at retailer events.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. There will be at least once per month when the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week to maintain operational efficiency and maximize service to the Lottery and the public.
• This position is home headquartered; however, you would be expected to report to the assigned area office on a weekly basis.
• Overtime may be required on a limited basis.
• You must be able to work and drive in all types of weather conditions.
• This position will travel to cover Allegheny County.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience in progressively responsible sales or marketing work; or
• Any equivalent experience and training.

• You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners.
• You must reside in Allegheny County in one of the following zip codes: 15132, 15131, 15122, 15129, 15025, 15034, 15045, 15133, 15088. Relocation is not an option.
• You must possess four or more years of sales experience.
• You must possess four or more years of customer service experience in a sales environment.
• You must be able to lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
• You must be available to work the required work schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM including at least once per month when the work hours will change to 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM for one week.
• You must be able to perform essential job function.
