Are you a forward-thinking leader with a passion for innovation in healthcare operations? We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Vice President of HIM and Revenue Cycle to join our executive team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is pivotal in shaping and executing strategy across multiple departments that are critical to the financial and operational health of our organization.
About the Role:
As Vice President, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of Health Information Management and Revenue Cycle operations, including:
You will lead cross-functional initiatives to drive financial performance, improve data governance, enhance patient engagement, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead enterprise-wide initiatives to improve service, efficiency, compliance, and data integrity across all HIM and Revenue Cycle functions. Collaborate with executive leaders and external partners to develop long-term strategic plans, improve operations, and drive value. Manage third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee implementation of innovative technologies and systems. Oversee compliance with CMS, HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies. Champion consumer-facing initiatives including patient portal expansion, telehealth support, and referral engagement. Support health information exchange (HIE) participation and ensure integrity of exchanged clinical data. Lead and mentor high-performing teams, foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure optimal medical record lifecycle and data governance across the enterprise. Develop and monitor capital and operational budgets with strong fiscal responsibility.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience. At least 10 years of leadership experience in health information management and/or healthcare revenue cycle within a $200M+ organization. Strong financial acumen, with experience managing multi-million-dollar cost centers. Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, commercial, and government payer guidelines. Demonstrated success in vendor management, outsourcing, and process transformation. Proven ability to lead complex initiatives, deliver results under pressure, and collaborate across departments and functions. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills - capable of influencing at all levels including C-suite.
