This Position reports to:

Business Manager - EML North America

Your role and responsibilities:

As the Market Development Manager, you will oversee market development activities and provide support to the Regional Sales organization in driving revenue of respective products in Electrification Business Area. You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities aimed at lighting agents, national distributors, lighting OEM and strategic end users in the North American market. You will drive growth in market share in the EML business for ABB, developing strategic business opportunities & partnerships, and supporting major projects.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Emergency Lighting Division in North America

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring the strategies and business plans are aligned with the overall division's strategy to achieve defined targets by defining Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for existing products as well as new product launches in collaboration with the Marketing function and ensuring their achievement.
  • Overseeing the implementation of activities for agreed cross-divisional, product group, and regional initiatives while supporting the organization in the execution of product launches and customer events when required.
  • Identify strategic end user customers and drive adoption of Emergency Lighting solutions across their portfolio while expanding ABB presence into complimentary product lines and develop new growth opportunities through the lighting OEM channel
  • Be the ABB source of EML systems solutions market intelligence by collecting and analyzing current market conditions, customer needs, and competitive data, with a focus on distribution, third party sales agents, and end users

Qualifications for the role:

Bachelor's Degree with minimum 10 years experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum 12 years experience OR High School Diploma with minimum 14 years experience

  • Must Have: C-Suite Presentation Experience - Sales Management - Territory Management - Advanced Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Preferred Experience Includes: Sales calls all regions all brands - Trade shows participation - Quotes process for segment (Central systems) - Order quote tracking conversion by brand. Monthly and Yearly - Project bidding - Agent Training - Customer Training
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
