Position Summary
The Sr. HR Business Partner will serve as a strategic advisor and provide HR support to leadership within Oceaneering's global functions. They will collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. Partnering with HR across multiple geographies and functions, the Sr. HR Business Partner will deliver talent management services and solutions to the business. This position will have high visibility to executive leadership in the company as business performance and progress are closely monitored to drive the short-term execution and long-term business strategy. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into people priorities and actions. You will also act as a change agent driving for results by building organizational capability and performance. As time allows, you will have the opportunity to work on other critical HR projects outside of your primary client group that align with your career interests and capabilities. LOCATION:
- Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%).
Duties And Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders in the function client groups to understand the people requirements and implications of business projects, initiatives and action plans and turn them into people priorities, HR solutions and action plans.
- Exert influence to create positive change and proactively mitigate and resolve employee issues.
- Streamline processes and best practices for the function client groups such as communications, stay and exit surveys, and the new hire process.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees concerning employee engagement, performance management, career development, talent assessment, and retention.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in the planning and execution of various HR programs.
- Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Consult and advise on succession planning, talent review and driving the annual compensation planning cycle.
- Assist with transformational change and communication efforts by providing consultative support to leaders to develop and execute business strategies.
- Support the implementation of programs and processes within function client groups; including performance and compensation, org design, assessments, talent development and employee experience.
- Lead and support enterprise-wide HR projects tied to the overall HR strategy.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 10+ years' experience in an HR Business Partner or other role with significant experience in coaching, strategy development, influencing executives, leading change management efforts, and project management.
- 5+ years' experience leading change management efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization and positively influence teams.
- Has relevant experience or demonstrated ability in turning business strategies into people related actions.
- Understanding of state and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Thorough understanding and hands-on application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards or related experience that translates well to dealing with these matters.
DESIRED:
- Master's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is a plus.
- Previous HR Business Partner experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a global organization is a plus.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization is a plus.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
