Role Summary

We believe high-level autonomy won't just enhance the drive; it'll fundamentally give our customers their time back and transform the utility of their vehicles-a paradigm shift that will drive purchase decisions at scale. As a Senior Product Manager on our Autonomous Driving team, you'll be at the forefront of this revolution. You'll define the vision, strategy, and execution for specific Autonomous Driving and parking features, shaping experiences that deliver unparalleled freedom and convenience. This high-visibility role requires empathetic leadership and exceptional communication skills to influence and engage diverse teams across engineering, senior leadership, business strategy, and marketing, driving us toward this groundbreaking future.


Responsibilities

Strategy
* Develop and champion a clear product vision and strategy for new and existing
highway driving and parking features, aligning with company goals and market
opportunities.
* Effectively communicate product priorities and progress to all stakeholders, including
executive leadership, engineering, design and marketing.
Product Definition
* Define scenarios, user stories, user journeys and user experience for your features.
* Collaborate with Systems engineering, and Cloud and Data teams to analyze
customers' utilization of and interactions with features to identify improvements in
feature behaviors and user experience.
* Leverage market research, competitive analysis and customer insights to identify
trends, needs, and pain points, translating findings into actionable insights for
product development.
Product Execution
* Define feature milestones and scopes, and secure cross-functional alignment.
* Establish an execution plan in collaboration with development teams and project
management teams.
* As the SME, collaborate with engineering teams throughout the development
process, providing clear priorities, resolving blockers, and ensuring timely delivery of
high-quality features.
* Define and monitor KPIs for new and existing features, analyzing customer behavior and feature performance data to inform iterative improvements.

* Lead demos to the executive leadership team.
Product Comms
* Provide comms materials for release notes, owner's guide, blogposts and website in
collaboration with Product Marketing and Technical Publications


Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or

Business. MBA is a plus.

* 5+ years of Product Management experience with automotive technologies, robotics

or consumer electronics.

* Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in

product/project management tools and agile methodologies.

* A strong Kaizen mindset for continuous improvement and iterative product

development.

* Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

* Experience working with and managing external partners.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience navigating ambiguity and successfully launching products in nascent

markets (0 to 1) and scaling existing ones (1 to 1.x).

* Proven track record of bringing automated driving, ADAS or parking features to

production.

* Strong understanding of AD and ADAS standards and regulations (US and EU)

* Experience with external communications for consumer products.


Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $132,100-$165,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.
