Job Title: Business Continuity Implementation Consultant Location: Onsite - Atlanta, Georgia
Job Type: Contract/Consulting - 6 months
Travel Required: Yes - Must be willing to travel to various sites across North America About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Implementation Consultant to lead the execution of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiatives across 50+ geographically dispersed offices throughout North America. This role requires deep technical expertise-not just project management-and hands-on experience in deploying continuity frameworks in large, complex organizations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle implementation of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across multiple North American locations. Conduct detailed risk assessments and Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) tailored to each site's operations. Design, document, and deploy BCP strategies aligned with relevant regulatory and operational requirements. Ensure compliance with frameworks and standards such as ISO 22301, NFPA 1600, and U.S./Canadian regulatory mandates. Collaborate with stakeholders to customize continuity strategies based on regional needs and critical business functions. Facilitate training sessions and awareness programs for employees and leadership on BCP roles. Plan and lead table-top exercises and simulations; evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Maintain detailed documentation of BCP processes, updates, testing, and compliance status. Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory updates and best practices in business continuity. Regularly report progress, risks, and readiness status to senior leadership.
Requirements:
Proven experience implementing BCPs for large organizations, ideally with 50+ distributed offices or sites. Strong working knowledge of business continuity frameworks, risk management, and emergency preparedness. Deep familiarity with North American regulatory standards (U.S. and Canadian). Relevant certifications highly preferred:
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong project leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability and willingness to travel across North America as required. Must be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week.
Special Instructions:
Only candidates with hands-on BCP implementation experience (not project managers without technical BCP execution background) will be considered. Please include certification details and a brief summary of previous multi-site BCP implementation projects with your application.
