****FIELD SUPPORT TECHNICIAN**** - Baton Rouge, LA (6 Month Contract to Hire)
*Job Description* *Primary Purpose:* To provide remote and onsite technical support for the Baton Rouge region ensuring all equipment is functioning at optimum levels so personnel can provide superior banking services to the customers of that region. One of TEKsystems' clients, a mid-sized financial institution, is looking for a Field Tech to service any technology and end user requests in their territory. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* * Incumbent will be responsible for installing/repairing/replacing of PCs, printers, routers, switches, and also installing various software packages. * Travel within a specified region will be required to accomplish these tasks. * Stays current with industry advances and changes. * Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. *Top Skills' Details* 1) Desktop/PC support -- this candidate will need to be able to set up, install, configure and troubleshoot any and all desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices 2) Network Support -- the candidate will also set up and do light configurations on routers, switches, etc...(they will have the backing of the network engineering group at corporate 3) Wireless technologies and TV/DVR 4) Reliable customer service to non-technical bankers Job Specifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent Two year college degree or equivalent experience in a computer related field plus one year of on the job work experience. Must also have experience with Microsoft operating systems, MS Office Applications, and desktop/network support. Must possess excellent communications and customer service skills as well as be self-motivated and be able to work without close supervision.
