What We Do First American Home Warranty has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Lead Systems Administrator. This position will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of First American Home Warranty's infrastructure and architecture in line with stated internal and CIS security policies.
This role will help guide a team of systems administrators and provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
This position also involves managing hardware and software installations, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing best practices for system performance and security; all in collaborate with other IT teams and departmental stakeholders to develop and implement strategic IT initiatives and ensure that the organization's technology infrastructure meets the needs of the business.
Additionally, they are responsible for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the organization's systems and processes

What You'll Do:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the organization's strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Help guide a team of systems administrators in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Mentor team to analyze system logs, identify issues, and provide technical support for cloud applications and services.
  • Develop and implement system security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical system issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate systems and applications and ensure seamless functionality across the organization.
  • Plan system upgrades and migrations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems and applications.
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for system improvements and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources, including but not limited to CPU, memory, and storage that leads to optimized spend for Cloud services
  • The ideal candidate works well independently with minimal supervision, is a strong team player, eager to learn, hard-working, flexible, and able to provide quality support.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, not required
  • 10+ years of advanced systems administrative support
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Significant experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud technologies, including but not limited to Office 365, SharePoint, Azure Entra ID, Intune, Azure Recovery Services, and networking components.
  • Experience with AWS technologies (EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFormation, EKS).
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise applications and Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations.
  • Familiarity with security tools management such as Microsoft Sentinel, SentinelOne, or equivalent solutions.
  • Substantial experience in backup and storage administration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP / HTTPS, and SFTP.
  • Thorough experience in patch management and vulnerability remediation.
  • Competent in automation using PowerShell scripting.
  • Adept at maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards. Experience in anyone or more of SOC2, ISO 27001, IS042001 will be good to have.
  • Good understanding of DevOps principles and IaaC technologies like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience in implementing and/or manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline a plus.

Salary Range:

$109,650 - $146,175

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
