Marrakech is looking for staff to work with our wonderful participants with developmental disabilities, physical, behavioral or other needs in a group home setting. We seek nurturing people who will provide care with respect and dignity as well as promote independence and community integration.
This residential group home is looking for a manager to supervise the day-to-day operations of a residential group home of 6 wonderful individuals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure compliance with all DDS, health, fire, and ICF (if applicable) regulations.
- Supervise Assistant Manager/Supervisor and direct care staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Manage individual finances, petty cash, and documentation.
- Complete habilitation reviews and reports timely.
- Develop and implement individualized programs and teaching strategies (PST process).
- Coordinate PST meetings, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Hire, onboard, and train new staff; conduct ongoing supervision and support.
- Monitor staff schedules, site operations, and perform unannounced spot checks.
- Oversee daily schedules, living skills, and community activities.
- Maintain accurate individual and medical records; ensure assessments and services are up to date.
- Foster positive relationships with families, guardians, medical providers, and community resources.
- Coordinate medical needs, appointments, recreation, and emotional support for residents.
- Promote community inclusion and meaningful engagement.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is responsible for direct supervision of the Assistant Manager, Supervisor (If applicable) and direct-care staff.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or two years related progressive experience and/or training.
- Two years of progressive experience working with people who have a developmental disability. One year must include supervisory responsibilities.
- Any other variation of education/experience will be reviewed on an individual basis.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with developmental disabilities, including 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Valid CT Driver's License,
- The ability to obtain the following: DDS Medication Certification, PMT Certification.
SCHEDULE:
- Su-Th 8a-4p (flex, 40 FT)
SALARY
- $20.98/hr. Rate increases to $21.54/hr, after 6 months.
