Field Applications Engineer - Display Division (Plymouth, MI)Pay Range: $101,230 - $146,578 per year(Actual pay depends on experience, education, skills, and market factors)
About the Role
Kyocera International, Inc. is seeking a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support our Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) products. In this role, you'll be the technical expert for customers, helping them integrate our displays into their applications. You'll bridge engineering and sales, troubleshoot challenges, and influence product direction through customer feedback.
What You'll Do
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers and the sales/marketing team
Deliver presentations on technology, design options, and solutions
Partner with sales, marketing, and manufacturing to support the product life cycle
Translate customer requirements into technical specifications/drawings for vendors
Stay close to manufacturing and R&D to apply the latest technology
Track and communicate field issues, opportunities, and trends
Travel domestically and internationally as needed
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical experience)
3+ years in technical sales engineering or field applications
Hands-on knowledge of Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) displays
Strong technical comprehension of drawings, materials, and engineering terms
Excellent communication skills (presentations, written, customer interaction)
Ability to manage conflicts professionally and follow through on commitments
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; basic SAP experience preferred
Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and be eligible to work in ITAR environments
