Location: This position will be on-site full-time in Chicopee, MA. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

Manufacturing Senior Maintenance Technician Summary:

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to best safe work practices.

Manufacturing Senior Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works safely, utilizing lock-out / tag-out procedures and follows UFPT and OSHA safe work practices.
  • Maintains a clean, organized 5S-compliant work area.
  • Ensures required tools, supplies, and spare parts are available, properly stored, and ready for use.
  • Orders and maintains inventory of parts and supplies as needed.
  • Reads and interprets electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Performs scheduled and preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Performs emergency and unscheduled repairs during production as needed.
  • Uses various hand and power tools, electric meters, measuring gauges (e.g., Verniers), and material handling equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Detects faulty operations or defective materials and reports issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Prepares and adjusts machines for fabrication and production runs.
  • Performs interior and exterior maintenance on all operating machinery.
  • Inspects equipment, identifies problems, and takes corrective action.
  • Follows up on all repairs to ensure proper resolution.
  • Coordinates with safety personnel for setup and safe execution of preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintains and updates logs to track machine settings and maintenance records.
  • Manages proper storage and condition of all tools.
  • Completes maintenance work orders, submits to manager and / or enters data into maintenance software.
  • Supports employee training and development in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Communicates equipment status and maintenance updates with team members.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
Manufacturing Senior Maintenance Technician Qualification Requirements:
  • High school diploma or vocational school equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical experience.
  • Trade or vocational certifications preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Experienced in process water temperature control system repairs.
