Ziegler Ag Equipment is seeking a customer focused, ambitious sales professional to join our Ag Sales Team. The Ag Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, understanding operational needs, and selling equipment solutions that support customer success. This role represents all Ziegler Ag Equipment product lines including FENDT, Massey Ferguson, Gleaner, Brandt, Geringhoff, CAT - as well as our extensive used inventory. The position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission, a company vehicle, and the latest business technology.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell equipment to prospective and existing customers, including walkins
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales cycle
  • Build strong rapport with customers and key accounts while maintaining an appropriate balance between personal and professional relationships
  • Meet with assigned customers on site to understand their operations and provide tailored product recommendations
  • Prospect regularly to expand the customer base and grow market share
  • Create and deliver quotes, product information, and supporting materials
  • Conduct equipment presentations and demonstrations
  • Manage the sales process by asking effective questions, identifying needs, and actively listening
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records in the CRM system
  • Plan and execute a pricing strategy that aligns with company policy
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager, product specialists, and manufacturer representatives throughout the sales process
  • Stay informed on competitive products, industry trends, and market activity
  • Resolve customer issues and support longterm satisfaction
  • Promote all applicable products, parts, and service offerings
  • Plan ahead for customer calls, territory activities, and strategic selling opportunities
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent Ziegler positively

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in business or agriculture preferred
  • Strong agricultural background and mechanical aptitude
  • Prior sales experience in agriculture or related equipment preferred
  • Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and CRM systems
  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
  • Ability to operate equipment for demonstrations (training provided)
  • Key traits: selfmotivated, customerfocused, learningoriented, empathetic, confident, and a strong team player
  • Must have and maintain a clean driving record

Travel

  • Up to 50% travel; minimal overnight travel required.

The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is

$136,000.00 to $204,000.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
