Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Controls/Electrical Engineering Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the IBOS Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. This position is within the Stearns Roger Services organization in the Installed Base Outage Services Business Unit, which is responsible for designing and upgrading nuclear reactor refueling equipment for commercial nuclear reactors. Your work will include:



  • Provide daily front-line supervision and technical support for a team of electrical and controls engineers and support staff
  • Plan and schedule work, supervise workflow, and adherence to budgets
  • Supervise the execution of engineering processes, review progress and update management, as needed
  • Provide input to, or conduct, staff appraisals
  • Define or review requirements for equipment and functionality
  • Design or review designs of controls or electrical power supply systems to meet requirements
  • Assist with creating or review control system and electrical design drawings
  • Facilitate procurement of parts and components
  • Oversee installation and testing of components on the equipment
  • Help develop and refine standard design process
  • Typical equipment includes PLC control systems, Variable Frequency Drives, Motors, Hoists, Human Machine Interfaces with touchscreens, power supply systems, transformers, industrial PCs, etc.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between 97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
