Join Our Team as a Logistics Developer at Epiroc!

Your Mission:


Reporting to the Logistics Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing warehouse and logistics processes and systems across all operational functions of the Distribution Center. A "Utility Player" - you are a well-rounded industrial engineer who utilizes various analytical tools and methodologies to improve efficiency/productivity for Epiroc. These tools include histograms, time studies, Kaizen events, and PFEP (Plan for every part) analysis. Skilled at value stream mapping, capacity planning, facility design, and layout optimization, you will use your project management skills and mathematical mindset to understand the current processes and procedures and will improve them.

Responsibilities:



  • Drive improvement independently and be an innovator of new ways of working





  • Drive the development of processes and ensure an efficient flow of operational functions, always keeping in mind the need for a safe working environment





  • Contribute to the organization's understanding and focus on customer needs





  • Develop new processes to enable efficiency & effectiveness





  • Design & implement operational layouts to improve internal processes





  • Project Leader for new initiatives related to the distribution center including the evaluation of new investments, pre-studies, implementation and commissioning





  • Train employees at the distribution center in new processes and routines






  • Collaborate: work in close collaboration across all departments, ensuring adequate communication within each function of the Distribution Center





  • Benchmark and provide appropriate tools to measure business performance





  • Work with continuous improvement initiatives





  • Supervise and direct the activities of Warehouse Auditors, such that they support the responsibilities listed above



The ideal candidate:



  • Minimum two+ years' work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment





  • University degree in Industrial Engineering





  • Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS)





  • Understanding of Metrics and KPI's as well as how to impact them





  • Proven technical skills:





  • Process design for efficient operational workflow





  • Process improvement development to drive operational efficiency/ productivity





  • Implementation of new operational layouts to improve internal processes





  • Capacity assessment and planning ability





  • Change Management





  • Solid organization and follow up skills





  • A penchant for quality with working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001





  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to perform V-lookups, and pivot table experience






  • Process-focused mindset specifically geared toward continuous improvement opportunities





  • Ability to manage and self-prioritize multiple simultaneous competing demands effectively





  • Proactive focus and approach to problem identification and resolution





  • Ability to transfer knowledge: educate others on newly implemented processes/ways of working





  • Strong oral and written communication skills
