Job Summary:

The Senior Director, Mergers and Acquisitions IT Integration, is responsible for the strategic oversight and leadership during mergers and acquisitions. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure that the value of the acquired assets is preserved, service levels are sustained or improved, and risk are mitigated.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee, manage, coordinate, and prioritize the daily activities of M&A integration efforts, working closely with key stakeholders, including business partners and other internal teams, to ensure an effective operating model
  • Serve as the main conduit for acquired assets IT organizations and IT needs ensuring collaboration with the appropriate existing teams
  • Lead the strategic development, tracking, and management of operating budgets for integration activities, ensuring timely and accurate forecasts, and that all departments adhere to established budgetary guidelines
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the M&A process, leveraging feedback, lessons learned, and best practices to enhance efficiency and outcomes while maintaining the integrity of existing capabilities
  • Ensure that all M&A activities remain aligned with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies, safeguarding data privacy, security, and confidentiality during transitions
  • Identify potential IT risks and challenges related to M&A initiatives, developing effective mitigation strategies to proactively address them, ensuring that service levels remain consistent throughout the integration process
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, providing updates on project status, challenges, and successes. Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee all aspects of IT M&A integration projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and monitoring progress against key milestones and deliverables
  • Partner with business architecture to develop multi-year strategic and operational plans for M&A activities to achieve business goals while ensuring that the capabilities of the entity are preserved and enhanced
  • Lead the establishment of a Center of Excellence focused on M&A strategies, practices, and training to support ongoing operational success and knowledge sharing across the organization
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Ten (10) years of IT-related experience is required
  • Five (5) years of management experience is required
  • Experience in driving and executing strategic solution delivery in the context of mergers and acquisitions, outlining roadmaps while managing the tactical pieces of business is essential

Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Familiarity with agile frameworks (such as SAFe, Agile, Lean, or Kanban) is preferred
  • Knowledge of the healthcare payer industry, including Medicaid and Medicare, is preferred
  • Understanding of the overarching business model as well as the intricacies of the functional business areas involved in M&A activities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities as business needs evolve
  • Demonstrated competence in operational leadership, M&A project management, business architecture, and business analysis, with strong relationship management abilities
  • Decision-making skills that are linked to organizational strategy and financial goals, with an understanding of external dynamics
  • Proven record of success in leading and mentoring teams effectively
  • Attention to detail to drive integration success and preserve service levels
  • Strong executive and strategic management capabilities
  • Excellent communication, business planning, and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms and establish rapport with stakeholders
  • Superior analytical, evaluative, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels, fostering collaboration with stakeholders and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel

Compensation Range:
$159,400.00 - $279,100.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
