GENERAL SUMMARY: The Women's and Children's Tour Guide offers a touring experience to potential patients and families considering the Bryan Women's and Children's facility for childbirth. Provides a welcoming and informative experience, answers questions or obtains necessary information and conducts follow-up contacts. Provides and gathers evaluation forms and distributes tour bags to participants. PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. *Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values. 2. *Greets expectant parents and family members in Plaza lobby prior to tour start time. 3. *Conducts bi-monthly and PRN tours of the Women's and Children's facility; manages touring situations such as large groups or lagging participants with confidence and expedition. 4. *Explains key details of what to expect during their hospital stay and all available Bryan services. 5. *Distributes evaluation forms and gathers completed forms for Nurse Educator reference; collates information and packages tour packets for distribution to tour participants. 6. *Consistently displays welcoming and helpful persona to tour participants and Bryan visitors; answers questions appropriately or obtains information from Nursing Educator and contacts participant after tour. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned. (Essential Job functions are marked with an asterisk "*". Attach Addendum for positions with slightly different roles or work-specific differences as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalency required. Prior experience in public speaking, guiding tours or experience within a medical environment preferred. |
