Quality Specialist

The Quality Specialist plays a hybrid role supporting lab testing, tactical quality execution, and administrative systems. This individual works cross-functionally with production, warehouse, planning, and laboratory teams to ensure timely and accurate quality disposition of inventory, adherence to procedures, and operational support. The role is split across lab support, plant-floor execution, and documentation responsibilities.

What You Will Do:

• Perform routine SAP quality transactions (batch status updates, block/release)
• Support real-time batch issue dispositioning with Quality Engineer and Quality Manager
• Conduct physical inventory checks to support blocked inventory reviews and stock movement decisions
• Assist with reclaim evaluations and verify alignment to disposition SOPs
• Escalate trends in scrap, blocked stock, or batch delays to drive investigation
• Perform routine QC testing when needed (pH, viscosity, titrations, etc.)
• Document test results clearly and flag out-of-spec results
• Support sample preparation and equipment upkeep during high-volume periods
• Assist in lab compliance activities (e.g., retain room checks, label verification, instrument readiness)
• Maintain records in eQMS, SAP, and Excel trackers (CAPA logs, WHSL extensions, inventory blocks)
• Help generate quality metrics and visual dashboards
• Support documentation control (SOPs, training records, calibration records)
• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Position Details:

• Plant location: Carrollton, TX
• Work week and shift: Monday - Thursday, 10:00am - 8:30pm (Days and hours are subject to change based on business needs)
• Compensation package offered: $29.00 / hour
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, QA, or lab environment
• No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a scientific or technical field
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, QA, or lab environment
• Experience with lab testing (i.e., pH, viscosity, refractive index, titrations)
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or GMP standards in a manufacturing setting
• Experience with in-process quality support on the production floor (i.e., line audits, batch record reviews, FPF tracking)
• Proficiency using SAP or ERP systems
• Strong written documentation and verbal communication skills
