Title: Animal Health Laboratory Worker / Histology Technician Location: Ewing, NJ 08628 Duration: Contract (4+ Months) Work Hours: 9:00am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:00pm Pay Rate: $30/hr Mode: Onsite Summary: Performs a variety of functions for department's Human Resources (HR) Department. Job Description: Initiates animal tissue dissection and grossing; conducts tissue processing, embedding, and staining maintains orderly storage systems for paraffin blocks, frozen blocks, and finished slides; maintains the inventory of supplies in pathology; maintains supplies of fixatives, solvents, materials, and other supplies for preservation and processing of tissues into completed routine slides; prepares, maintains, and files lab records, observations, and worksheets; assists in specimen receiving, preparation, and examination; updating or retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested. Required Qualifications: Histo technician (HT) or Histo technologist (HTL) certification or eligibility for certification issued by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
