Description

This position is responsible for (This is not a complete job description):



  • managing assigned accounts in the A&E/Guetermann Consumer Division
  • researching target markets to identify opportunities to develop new business to grow market share
  • developing market awareness through gaining intelligence on products used, available customers, and principal competitors
  • cultivating and maintaining relationships with assigned customers to include responding to customer requests
  • providing input for inventory forecasts
  • maintaining information on competition and their activities within the marketplace
  • working to establish A&E as the specified supplier for contractors and offshore operations
  • understanding and utilizing A&E's R&D and technical services and other resources to grow business and strengthen relationships, assisting the product development process upon request
  • helping facilitate plant visitations and customer outings as appropriate
  • communicating immediately any loss of business position to the Sales Leadership Team.
  • submitting all requested reports on time and participating in the development of the sales budgets and projections for assigned accounts
  • understanding the function and procedures of other disciplines, i.e., credit, manufacturing and GSCO
  • focusing on target accounts and working within a target account system
  • supporting and administering company policies and procedures consistently
  • ensuring good housekeeping in all areas of the facility including manufacturing, distribution, and office areas
  • meeting or exceeding all performance and productivity standards
  • promoting a safe and healthy work environment on all company property to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitors
  • ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures
  • performing other assignments as requested or as business needs require



This position requires:



  • high energy, results driven with the ability to both maintain and grow profitable sales
  • excellent time management and organizational skills to include scheduling calls and follow-up on commitments
  • working with other A&E departments on customer projects
  • the ability to develop and grow business relationships to include making calls and visiting both existing customers as well as new prospects for the purpose of generating sales
  • regular travel to include visits to existing and potential customers as well as trade shows
  • proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and JD Edwards.
  • the ability to manage multiple tasks and provide expected results
  • maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors
  • follow verbal and written instructions
  • comply with company processes and procedures
  • successfully complete drug and background screenings
