NC Programmer

Position Summary: Assure that utilization of numerically controlled machine tools are maximized and that workload is optimum.

• Calculate and provide NC program times
• Develop accurate NC programs and define required tooling
• Perform continuous evaluation and adjustment of NC programs
• Assist in the evaluation, selection and activation of capital equipment
• Assist production control in resolving scheduling problems
• Make recommendation for improving manufacturing methods
• Preparation of manuscripts, tools, methods, process and set-up sheets, tapes and tape optimization for all numerically controlled machine tools
• Review daily ECN system for requested program changes
• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as required.
