POSITION SPECIFICS

The College of the Liberal Arts is seeking a Career Services Specialist to serve as an Internship Coordinator within the Career Enrichment Network. This position is responsible for managing and expanding internships and job opportunities for undergraduate Liberal Arts students by supporting employer partnerships, curating internship postings, and providing student application support. The role contributes to a college-wide career readiness initiative through student programming, targeted communications, and data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and posting internships through various channels including Nittany Lion Careers

  • Partnering with employers to develop opportunities and support recruitment

  • Assisting students with resumes, interview preparation, and application support

  • Creating and maintaining internship resources and communications

  • Coordinating internship-related events, class visits, and outreach

  • Collaborating with internal and external partners on programming and employer engagement

  • Collecting and reporting data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategy

This position reports to the Director of the Career Enrichment Network.

The Career Services Specialist will be required to work infrequent evenings and weekends for events and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience with student support or employer relations

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with systems such as Symplicity, Salesforce, or Canvas

A Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in higher education, career services, or student programming is preferred.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
