I. JOB OVERVIEW


Job Description Summary:
The George Washington University Dining Services, part of the university's Business Services team, oversees all food operations on the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses. The Campus Dining Administrator provides direct support to the Assistant Director of Campus Dining Services in managing the residential dining program operated by a third-party vendor. This role assists with day-to-day operations, contract oversight, facilities coordination, and student engagement efforts to help ensure a high-quality dining experience aligned with the university's service and operational standards.

As a member of the Finance family, this role is accountable for operational reporting, vendor performance monitoring, and ensuring that financial and service objectives are met across dining services. The position supports the broader department's mission by contributing to the efficient and student-focused delivery of campus auxiliary services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with food service and facilities vendor contracts, including performance standards and service levels.
  • Oversee daily operations and service delivery of outsourced facilities/maintenance vendor.
  • Manage facilities and maintenance needs related to residential dining locations.
  • Coordinate movement and inventory of equipment and materials; maintain up-to-date records on blueprints, space utilization, and dining-related assets.
  • Monitor safety and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations and university policies.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to promote a safe, accessible, and student-centered dining environment.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and vendor partners.
  • Gather and communicate student feedback to inform program improvements and vendor service delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and vendor reporting to ensure service quality and accountability.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the dining services team.


Performs other related duties as assigned including providing cross team training and learning/performing backup tasks for finance team member when needed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Hiring Range $43,888.00 - $67,654.90
