Could you be the full-time onsite Supplier Quality Serial Life Engineer in Plattsburgh, NY, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your supplier quality and engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and resilient teammates.
You'll ensure supplier quality performance and drive continuous improvement, directly impacting the reliability of Alstom's supply chain. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Procurement, Industrial Quality, Supply Chain), manage Non-Conformity Reports, and support incoming inspection activities-and much more."

We'll look to you for:




  • Managing day-to-day Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely supplier notifications, replacement of defective parts, and implementation of containment actions. ,



  • Animating Non-Conformity Report (NCR) treatment by setting up relevant action plans to reach NCR targets. ,



  • Invoicing the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ S1) to suppliers. ,



  • Organizing retrofits to be performed by suppliers and determining the need for quality walls, if necessary. ,



  • Securing strong and complete supplier containment action plans to support the manufacturing line. ,



  • Challenging suppliers to enforce corrective and preventive action plans and verifying their effectiveness through evidence, supplier visits, and control plan follow-ups. ,



  • Setting up and managing Supplier Improvement Roadmaps for non-performing suppliers according to escalation processes (Green/Yellow/Red status). ,



  • Preparing and monitoring supplier quality reviews at the unit level to address top issues. ,



  • Ensuring the performance of inspections for low-critical parts and participating in Return of Experience (REX) analysis for trusted suppliers. ,



  • Managing Incoming Inspection activities, including defining control plans, ensuring compliance with procedures, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Degree in Quality, Engineering, or equivalent. ,



  • Experience or understanding of supplier quality assurance processes, non-conformity management, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., 8D). ,



  • Knowledge of supplier qualification standards such as ISO, ASME, IRIS, and Local Standards. ,



  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems. ,



  • Fluent in English and strong communication skills. ,



  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and collaborate effectively across teams. ,



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ,



  • Resilience and adaptability in managing complex situations. ,



  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. ,
