The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive field marketing programs that drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales efforts across 29 diverse markets in the United States. This role will oversee marketing activities within 65 data centers, requiring a deep understanding of marketing principles, exceptional project management skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for building lasting relationships with customers and partners. Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Field Marketing Plans: Develop and execute comprehensive field marketing plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and support for sales initiatives.
- Manage Events: Create, organize, and execute various field marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, lunch and learns, and customer events.
- Manage DataBank Merchandise/Swag: Oversee the logistics of DataBank merchandise and promotional items, including assessing needs, coordinating with Human Resources and management for employees, and ordering within budget.
- Collaborate with Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure field marketing activities align with sales goals. This includes ongoing communication across multiple sales teams and regular stakeholder calls to review event progress, budget updates, event outcomes such as ROI, and overall alignment with strategic objectives.
- Build and Manage Relationships with Vendors: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local partners, such as hotels, catering companies, AV providers, transportation services, venues, restaurants, and industry associations, to support contract negotiations, secure competitive rates, and ensure reliable services for successful event planning and execution across tradeshows, conferences, lunch meetings, and other business events.
- Measure and Analyze Performance: Track and analyze the effectiveness of field marketing programs to measure ROI and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay Up to Date on Industry Trends: Monitor data center industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in field marketing or a similar role, preferably in the data center industry, but not required.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of event planning and execution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; depending on the size of the event, the Field Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing a team of contractors.
- Must know how to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using marketing automation tools, project management, and CRM software such as Salesforce, Eventbrite, Monday.com, or similar tools.
- May need to be flexible with their work hours, especially during peak event periods.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 20%).
