The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Corporate Partnerships Specialist - New Business is responsible for identifying, researching, and selling new point-of-sale partnerships in support of WWP's mission. This role focuses on retailers, restaurants, grocers, and convenience stores that can raise five- to seven-figure donations at the register. The position oversees the point-of-sale fundraising framework, provides expertise to development teams, and works directly with the Associate Director of New Business to maximize the return on new partnership opportunities. This individual will also collaborate with WWP's internal support and programs teams to secure high-dollar, annual, and multi-year funding and support to help achieve WWP's program and revenue goals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify new point-of-sale fundraising partnership opportunities that raise revenue and increase awareness of WWP's programs and services. Obtain new annual and multi-year partnerships, focusing on five- to seven-figure opportunities. In collaboration with the Associate Director of New Business, manage requests, leads, and contacts, and engage those leads accordingly. Develop and maintain an active new business pipeline of qualified restaurants, retailers, grocers, and convenience stores. Update and share the pipeline with leadership on a continuous basis. Effectively communicate to prospective partners the value of WWP and the impact their financial support will have on wounded warriors and their families. Work with the Corporate Partnerships account team to help manage deliverables and the transition of new partnerships. Work with the Associate Director of New Business to develop and maintain a strategy to actively engage WWP leadership in the new business process. Track communications within Monday.com and Salesforce CRM platforms to capture new business activity and ensure prioritization of company passions through relationship-based fundraising strategies. Represent WWP in speaking engagements and training sessions for corporate organizations, community audiences, and donors. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Communications, Marketing, Programs, Legal, and other Resource Development units, to establish effective working relationships that support the growth and sustainability of corporate partnerships. In collaboration with the Associate Director of New Business, evaluate the new business initiative quarterly to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and donor dollar efficiency. In collaboration with leadership, establish an annual budget in support of your partner portfolio and manage that budget throughout the year. Manage overall sales trends in giving, with support from the analytics team. Provide monthly acquisition projections and forecasting. Travel to meet with partners within the assigned portfolio to support program objectives. Develop and maintain a professional network on behalf of WWP to enhance brand visibility, foster strategic relationships, and support organizational growth and partnership opportunities. Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. EXPERIENCE Requirements
Three years of experience in business-to-business sales or fundraising, securing high-value corporate or donor relationships. Three years of experience identifying, cultivating, and soliciting partnerships involving senior leadership or C-suite executives to drive revenue growth and alignment. Three years of experience in non-profit development, retail sales, or point-of-sale fundraising campaigns.
Preferences
Three years of account management experience in a non-profit organization. Three years of marketing, sales, or consulting experience. Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com) to manage pipelines and track donor or partner engagement activities.
EDUCATION Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
